Largs – North Ayrshire is a city in Scotland. The name translates from the Irish phrase tracks in English. The city has evolved from North Cunninhame property. The city was at one time home of the famous physicist Lord Kelvin. This offers a fun and interactive way to learn Viking life in the early days of the village. You can visit a Neolithic tomb called Haylie Chambered Tomb, situated in Douglas Park. This tomb dates back to 2000 BC. The local museum, Skelmorlie Hall is another great stop for local culture and history. Kelburn Castle is nearby and is one of the oldest castles in Scotland. The walk on the beach is an ideal place for a pleasant walk, although there are also some great hill walks for those looking for more intense activity. Some of the more popular routes are Knockhill hiking, walking Greet Falls, pencil on foot, walking and Brisbane Glen. There are also two parks to discover, Douglas Park and Anderson Park.
